I have just noticed that As Time Goes By series 5 has just been released (24/10/05) on the BBC/2entertain label. This series was originally being released by Universal Playback. I have e-mailed Carolyn Bartholomew at the BBC to see if there are any plans for the release of Hi-De-Hi Series 5 onwards for release via this label. I am not expecting miracles though, but will post any response I get on this thread.

Good luck mate. It seems they don't want to release Hi De Hi. But we can still only hope.

I have just received a reply from Carolyn, with a very cryptic ending. She is still playing her cards close to her chest though, here it is: "Thank you for your e-mail, and I am sorry for the delay in replying to you but I have been off sick and have only just returned to work. I know that there are a lot of people who are eagerly awaiting further releases of our programmes, and rest assured that news of David Croft's programmes will be sent out via the mailing list, so WATCH THIS SPACE!
Best Wishes Carolyn"
So make of THAT what you will! I personally am looking on it as a cryptic clue that something is in the pipeline, hopefully.

Well at least it isn't a no. But it sounds like she doesn't know herself yet.
